About Alyssa
Hello! My name is Dr. Alyssa Elezye and I am a General Dentist in the Atlanta, GA area. I graduated from Howard University College of Dentistry in 2023 and taught Science through Teach for America from 2017-2019. I believe that knowledge is power and the key to creating vibrant and strong citizens of tomorrow is by the inspiring and strengthening their minds today. Rest assured that I will work at whatever pace is necessary to help you understand and conquer your lesson! My teaching method centers around the student. I analyze the students' learning style and adapt that into my lesson plan. Prior to the lesson, I would gather what topics or questions the student wants to focus on. The lesson would then be focused on either tackling the question and similar ones for practice, or having a mini review around the topic followed by practice.
I believe what sets me apart as a tutor is that I have my doctorate in dental science which meansI have taken the same level of study as the student and higher so I am familiar with the content. In addition, I spent two years teaching science to 11th and 12th graders which gave me the skillset on how to lesson plan, test, and communicate with students.
These lessons would be for high school students in Chemistry and Anatomy and Physiology.
