As an elementary school teacher, I'm an expert in creating engaging lessons that strengthen core reading skills such as phonological awareness, phonics, decoding, reading comprehension, and writing. I was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2023 for my lessons and skills in the classroom. I pride myself on being the best for my students so that they can achieve their dreams.
Session Structure:
-Warm-up: Phonological Awareness- identifying individual words, and syllables in words, recognizing and creating rhyme, alliteration, and phonemic awareness.
-Lesson: Phonics instruction- Consonants, short vowel sounds, digraphs, blends, long vowel/final e, long vowel digraphs, and other vowel patterns and syllable patterns.
-Reading and Writing Practice: After the lesson apply the skills learned in reading and writing
-Closing: Reviewing what we learned from the session
