About Issy
My name is Issy Curry and I am 18 and have just finished my A Levels. I am going on to study Geography at the University of Leeds. I got an A in A Level geography and an 8 at GCSE. I am very passionate about the subject which has spurred my desire to tutor students. Having recently been in Year 13 I understand the immense pressure on students and how it’s hard to ask for help. This is why I want to tutor and give 1 to 1 support in a calm and caring environment to help students get the grades they deserve.

My approach to tutoring is friendly and supportive focused on helping each student understand why something is correct rather than just getting the answer. I have recently finished year 13 so I understand the demands of A Levels and how difficult it is to grasp concepts. I feel this will help me connect with students and reduce the pressure for them. I aim to make Geography more enjoyable and relatable to each student by adapting concepts they study to real life. For example, case studies that are meaningful to them and therefore easier to remember. Most importantly, I want each student to feel comfortable to ask questions and leave each session feeling as though they have made progress.
