About Mariam
I’m a Year 13 student currently studying A-Level Maths, Biology, and Chemistry. Biology is my favourite subject — I’m genuinely passionate about understanding how living systems work, and I plan to study Biology at university. My enthusiasm for the subject drives me to help others find the same enjoyment and confidence in learning it. Through my studies, I’ve developed strong problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as an appreciation for how different topics connect across the sciences. I aim to bring that same clarity and curiosity to my tutoring, helping students not only prepare for exams but also truly understand and enjoy what they’re learning.

Every session begins with a short activity that revisits previous content, helping students strengthen memory retention and connect prior knowledge to new material. Each lesson uses clear, visual presentations to explain key concepts step-by-step, making complex ideas easier to grasp. Throughout the lesson, I ask guided questions that encourage students to think critically and use their own knowledge to uncover the next part of the topic. This helps build confidence and independence in learning. At the end of each lesson, we’ll do a quick review to reinforce what was learned and identify areas that need more attention next time. My teaching approach combines structure with flexibility — ensuring each student learns at their own pace while staying engaged and challenged.
