This would be my first time officially working as a private tutor, but I have been babysitting and nannying for a few years now. I also spent the past year working in elementary and high schools, observing classrooms and shadowing teachers. I am great with kids and have a strong background in writing and literacy. I can help your child with reading texts and teaching them how to write and edit. A typical lesson plan would include reviewing homework/assignments, practicing reading, and learning writing tactics and skills. I am flexible enough to work around the student's workload and will do my best to make sure the student is comfortable and excited to learn. Although I am studying to be an Art teacher, I am minoring in Creative Writing and have a lot of experience writing academic essays and editing work. I am looking to teach elementary to middle school students, but I can make exceptions for freshman and sophomore students in high school.
