About Tahlana
Hi! My name is Tahlana. I’m currently a Criminal Justice student, and I’ve always had a passion for helping others learn and grow. I am moving through university with an above-average GPA, and throughout my own education, I discovered how important it is to have someone who can explain things clearly and make learning feel less overwhelming. I want to teach because I know what it’s like to face tough subjects and feel unsure where to start—and I also know how life-changing it can be when someone takes the time to guide you. Teaching gives me the chance to support students the same way others supported me. Whether it’s breaking down a math problem or understanding a criminal justice topic, I’m here to make the learning process easier, more understandable, and even enjoyable. My goal is to create a positive and patient learning environment where every student feels confident, encouraged, and capable of reaching their full potential. I’m excited to work with you and help you succeed!

I would love to engage with children, making learning fun, I can bring creative ideas to the tutor sessions to make them more engaging and enjoyable, helping children stay motivated and confident in their skills. I believe that when children are having fun, they are more motivated and can retain more information. My goals are to adapt to every child’s needs, so they can reach their full potential. Lessons will typically go for an hour to an hour and a half. I currently work in a before and after school care so I have experience with children, and I have received an academic award for high achievement in university. I would prefer to work with children aged 7-12 years of age.
