About Charlie
Personally, I love English and books, but I struggled in school to grasp the content. After having tutoring, I felt a massive improvement in my ability and was chuffed with my results- going from a 2 to an 8 in Language and a 2 to a 7 in Literature. I then went on to do English Literature at A-Level, which I enjoyed and so continued it at University. I want to inspire that same confidence in someone else, as Tutoring gave me the ability to continue studying what I loved and gave me a solid foundation for my future learning. After University I want to go into teaching, as I genuinely enjoy tutoring and I have a history of improved grades within my students.

I specialise in helping students who struggle with English- with myself being predicted a 2,2 in my year 11 mocks. I am able to adapt my teaching style to tailor different students, as I understand that a typical "classroom" environment doesn't work for all students. I like to include practical/visual exercises and general discussions over the topics as I feel that helps with memory and understanding. My schedule and lesson length is relatively flexible, whatever you are happy with. I work with AQA GCSE.
