About Dona
My name is Dona. I’ve been playing guitar for many years and have been with the same (Berklee) teacher for the last 20. I took lessons from Miami to NY but the teachers were mostly frustrated players trying to earn some extra money. I could play intricate solos note for note but I had no idea what key I was in and couldn’t play the song all the way through. That all changed when I found my teacher. My playing, my chord vocabulary, my soloing, rhythm, being able to play and sing. We worked on everything related to music and guitar.
We teach because we love to teach.

Guitar lessons are fun, energetic and customized for each student.
We’ll spend some time talking about your musical interests, the kind of guitar player you want to be. We’ll learn theory using songs you already know and love. By the end of your first lesson, you’ll be playing those songs all the way through. We’ll create a practice routine in between lessons that fits your schedule. I’ve studied with my teacher in the Berklee tradition. We’ve created a curriculum that really works.
