About Colin
Originally from Virginia, I am now a student at Dartmouth College, where I continue to excel academically. My passion for problem-solving and creating drives me, particularly in programming, which I’ve enjoyed for years. Outside of academics, I stay active through running, skiing, and swimming, and I love to read in my spare time. After work, you’ll likely find me unwinding with reality TV alongside my family. My background in high achievement, coupled with my diverse interests and commitment to helping others, ensures a well-rounded and engaging tutoring experience.

My tutoring method is designed to ensure students thoroughly grasp each concept. I start by explaining the core idea, then demonstrate it through a detailed example. Next, I guide students as they work through a similar problem, and finally, I encourage them to apply the concept independently. Each lesson is tailored to cover several topics of interest, with a focus on mastering each area before moving on. What sets me apart is my personal experience as a student. I attended the Commonwealth Governor's School where I excelled academically by taking 19 AP courses, scoring a 1550 on the SAT, and graduating as valedictorian, and now am currently an Ivy League student at Dartmouth College. This background gives me a unique insight into what strategies and practices lead to academic success, allowing me to offer practical advice and effective techniques based on my own achievements.
