About Nirodha francina
Hello, I’m Niro—a practising civil engineer with an MSc in Civil Engineering and over 10 years of tutoring experience.
Alongside my engineering career, I have always loved helping students realise that they are more capable than they think. I am patient, friendly and approachable, and I take pride in creating a calm, supportive space where students feel comfortable asking questions, tackling difficult topics and building genuine confidence.
I provide one-to-one tuition in Maths from primary level to A-Level, as well as English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics up to GCSE. I am DBS checked and committed to helping every student make meaningful progress towards their own goals—whether that means building foundations, improving confidence or aiming for the highest grades.

I believe the best tutoring combines clear structure with a relaxed, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Every lesson is personalised to the student’s current ability, learning style and goals.
Lessons typically last one hour and follow a clear structure: a short starter or recap, shared objectives, focused teaching of the main topic, then guided and independent practice. I use a mixture of explanations, worked examples, exam-style questions and tailored resources to build both understanding and confidence. Students receive a curriculum roadmap, a dedicated notebook and resources to help track progress between lessons.
I have over 10 years of tutoring experience and hold an MSc in Civil Engineering. I teach Maths from primary level through to A-Level, and English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics up to GCSE level. My lessons suit children and teenagers of a range of abilities—from those who need extra support and confidence, to students aiming for top grades. For younger learners, I make progress motivating and enjoyable with positive rewards; for older students, the focus is on independence, exam technique and achieving their personal goals.
