Deakin medical student scoring 82 in S2 of the GAMSAT and tutoring students to go from 50's and 60's to 70+

I began Section 2 tutoring with Will around four months before my GAMSAT exam. He is a very friendly character and I genuinely cannot recommend him enough.

Before starting, my writing skills were quite poor, and I had no idea how to approach my study for such a varied exam, where literally anything can come up. Will provided a framework that allowed me to build my writing skills week by week.

What I found most useful were the various writing styles Will incorporated into his teaching. This approach opened my eyes to the different ways essays could be written, creating a number of pathways to make writing more accessible.

Will also presented structures for essays that made the whole essay-writing process a lot more accessible. At the start I had no real structure to write essays which resulted in my essays being of poor standard. However, from utilising the structures that Will incorporates into his teaching, I was able to write essays that were both coherent and engaging.

Will was also extremely helpful in brainstorming ideas for essays. Given that some topics can be quite challenging, it can be tough to generate unique ideas that result in intriguing essays. Will was always there to help with idea generation without explicitly telling me what to write about, which I thought was a great aspect of his teaching.

Finally, I found that Will strikes the perfect balance between friendly banter and expert guidance, making the entire process much more enjoyable.

Overall, Will's unique teaching methods, coupled with his continuous support, make him an extremely skilled S2 GAMSAT tutor. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
