About Scott

With over 7 years of experience as a dedicated ESL Instructor, I specialize in bridging the gap between technical mastery and linguistic precision. My career has been defined by helping IT professionals and corporate leaders transition from "knowing" English to "commanding" it in high-stakes, global environments.
What I Bring to Your Professional Journey:
Sector-Specific Expertise: Having coached tech workers in corporate settings, I understand the nuances of IT terminology, sprint ceremonies, and the cultural expectations of multinational firms.
Targeted Pronunciation & Accent Refinement: I don't just teach grammar; I help you neutralize communication friction. My methods focus on accent reduction and intonation, ensuring your ideas are heard clearly by stakeholders and teams alike.
Personalized Strategic Planning: I leverage my bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) to anticipate common linguistic hurdles, creating custom-tailored lesson plans that align with your specific career milestones.
Proven Results: I have a consistent track record of accelerating fluency and confidence, transforming students from hesitant speakers into influential communicators.
Whether you are leading a cross-functional team, presenting a project roadmap, or preparing for an international move, I provide the professional scaffolding you need to excel.
Let’s connect to refine your speech and amplify your professional impact.

Teaching Method & Techniques
My approach is task-based and clutter-free, focusing on the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) method [2, 5]. Since your goals are professional, I use Direct Feedback for pronunciation and Scaffolding to build complex technical vocabulary [1, 2]. We focus on the "Shadowing Technique" to refine your accent and rhythm, ensuring you sound natural in high-stakes meetings [1].
A Typical Lesson Plan (60 Mins)
0-10: Warm-up & Fluidity. Casual "water cooler" talk or a recap of a recent tech stand-up [3, 4].
10-25: Targeted Input. Analysis of a technical article or a mock "Sprint Planning" session [4].
25-45: Active Production. Role-playing specific scenarios like explaining a bug fix or presenting a project roadmap [3, 4].
45-60: The "Refining" Phase. Real-time correction of pronunciation, intonation, and syntax errors noted during the session [4].
What Sets Me Apart
I bridge the gap between Linguistic Accuracy and Corporate Reality. Unlike general tutors, I understand the specific jargon and cultural nuances of the IT sector. I don't just teach you to speak; I teach you to lead, persuade, and collaborate effectively within a global tech team [2].
Who the Lessons Are For
Professionals: IT Specialists, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Tech Leads.
Level: Intermediate to Advanced (B1–C2).
Specificities: Individuals working in (or aiming for) multinational corporations who need to eliminate communication barriers and command authority through clear, accent-reduced speech [1, 2].
