About Rosalind
I am a piano tutor with 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a Piano Focus. I have taught over 200 students from young beginners to advanced adult learners. My lessons cover classical technique, jazz harmony, pop piano, contemporary styles, music theory, and examination preparation comprehensively. I am passionate about making piano lessons genuinely enjoyable and personally meaningful for every student I work with. My approach is patient, engaging, and always personalised to the individual student's pace, interests, and goals. I use backing tracks, ear training apps, and composition tools to keep lessons varied and stimulating. I have helped students pass graded examinations and develop into confident musical performers. Let me help you fall in love with the piano.

My piano lessons develop technique, musical creativity, and theory knowledge in a fully integrated and genuinely enjoyable way throughout every session. Every session begins with scales, arpeggios, and technique exercises tailored to the student's current level and specific goals. Theory is introduced progressively alongside all practical playing so understanding develops naturally and meaningfully as skills grow. Exam students follow the required examination syllabus closely with systematic preparation and regular mock assessments including all required components. Creative students explore improvisation, composition, and arranging across different musical styles from jazz to pop to classical. Backing tracks are used consistently to develop timing, musical feel, and the ability to play with genuine expressive groove. Younger students benefit from visual aids, musical games, and exciting short pieces that maintain enthusiasm and engagement throughout. Adult learners work directly on music they enjoy while developing solid foundational technique and theory alongside it. Clear written practice notes are provided after every lesson so students always have a productive and focused home practice routine. My goal is for every student to become a genuinely confident, expressive, and joyful pianist who loves making music.
