About Claire
I work full-time in Healthcare Communications, however, I'm a teacher at heart. I spent 5 years teaching English as a Foreign Language (ESL) in Spain before pursuing a master's degree in global health. Through my studies, I tutored students and worked in a language academy, providing lessons in English and Spanish and assisting all levels and ages of students on their language learning journeys. While I no longer work in a language academy, I have continued offering private tutoring to several students. I've tutored executives looking to advance their careers by learning a foreign language. I've tutored elementary, middle, and high school students. I strive to make my lessons educational, but also interactive and enjoy working with a variety of students and seeing them grow in their confidence.

I design lessons to meet students' goals. Whether it's speaking, reading, writing, test prep, or a mix, I am passionate about working with my students to understand their goals. I tailor my lessons to meet my students' current levels and am known to create a supportive environment that encourages students to succeed.
Having lived in Spain for 5 years, I hold a C1 DELE Certificate of proficiency and am knowledgeable of the Spanish culture and language. I have successfully helped students looking to brush up on their Spanish skills, prep for travel or study abroad, study for school exams, or simply gain more practice speaking.
