I teach sequentially, with an emphasis on classical music. I use the RCM curriculum, which is a well studied and supported way of taking students from beginner piano all the way through to advanced classical!
Especially with beginners, I use all sorts of games and activities to aid in the process of learning to read and feel music. I also enjoy supplementing with listening activities to grow your exposure to music in all its forms (big film music lover here!)
I look forward to working with you :)

Michael is a phenomenal teacher and musician. His ability to infuse the learning process for any skill level with high caliber musicianship fosters an experience where students not only hone skills as musicians, but grow into capable people. I’ve had a long career working in the education sector, and I can confidently say Michael’s approach to teaching music is world class. He’s that good.
