About Maryann
"Graduating with an MMus Vocal Studies from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama taught me that precision matters in language just as much as in music. I remember sitting with my first student 13 years ago when I realised that learning a new dialect requires both patience and a sharp ear.
My teaching often covers the nuances between Latin American and Castilian variants for those who want to sound authentic. Vocabulary building and reading comprehension are standard for my intermediate learners.
I help students prepare for the DELE exam with rigour while offering practical advice on everyday phrases for beginners. Listening practice and idiom acquisition keep the sessions dynamic.
I also guide learners through interview preparation to ensure they feel ready for real world interactions. Accents and intonation receive special attention because I value how language feels in the mouth. I genuinely enjoy watching students move from simple role play and dialogue practice to complex conversations. It is a pleasure to support you on this journey towards linguistic fluency."
