About Michael
I'm a programmer, software engineer, web developer, and massive nerd. i just want to give people like me something they can think is cool, the same way I think it's cool. I absolutely love teaching people new things, and I love to see someone go from knowing nothing about how something is made to then making it themselves. If you want to make increasingly crazier stuff and also get quite good at something while you're at it, or you have a class you need programming to pass, or a project you want to do but have absolutely no clue how to start, let me know, let's talk it through, and maybe we might both learn something!

My teaching methodology is very much self-guided. I found that the best way to learn this material was through projects that I found interesting. What I didn't have, however, was someone who could direct me, point me in the right direction, and teach valuable lessons without having to bang my head against a wall! I have worked teaching high school programming all the way up to master's level secure programming, and I currently work for a company which is responsible for a lot of cyber training for defence and academia. There is no point in doing sessions that are above an hour. I would say sessions will probably last from 30 minutes to an hour at most. Even if I do go an hour (because I am a talker, if you get me going), we can take breaks whenever needed. in honesty im just here because i love what i do and the only thing i love more thn programming is helping other people find programming cool aswell, because then we can find it cool together. as much as id say that my lessons are prefferably for people just getting started id also say that if youre in university and getting stuck or you have a project you just cant crack give me a shout and id be more than happy to talk you through it.
