I offer private tuition in programming and algorithms (C++, C, Java, Python, Haskell, Ocaml...) for GCSEs, A-levels / IB, degree level and adult learners, face-to-face in the Portsmouth area or online, via Google Hangouts or Skype, with webcam, whiteboard and screensharing.
I teach passionately , Until a Person Will Not UnderStand from Basics I will not leave that person , i need to make sure thathe should get All the concept before moving to other Topic , So it will be helpful for him and me also.
I mostly teach by giving an overview of the topic, some examples and then proceeding by letting the students complete some tasks and problems i.e learning by doing. This gives the student a practical experience on what they are applying and how it actually works.
My teaching method is based on relating the subject to practical scenarios so that the student gets a better understanding of the subject matter, and has a scenario in mind to associate it with. I give lessons to students who are either passionate about the subject, or want to learn enough to perform well in the exams, even if they don't feel a passion for the subject.
I hold a master of science degree in IT and a software and academic professional with excellent computing and programming skills. I teach computing for students of any age and levels. Conversant with modern technologies, curriculum and techniques. My method of teaching students being, prepare, teach, test and support.
My teaching method is very simple and it always depends on the skill level of my students. I'd say it's a rather adaptive technique based on the student and the material that he/she wishes to learn.
I am passionate about teaching and assisting a motivated student in achieving their goals. I obtained a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from the Bangalore University with a First. I also have a masters` degree in Software Engineering from the University of Southampton as well as a 2-year Diploma in Law.
I have been helping students from top universities such as Queen Mary, University of Greenwich, UCL, King's college, Birkbeck, University of London, University of Waterloo, Imperial College, University of Middlesex etc. I can help you get ready for the exams, help with the assignments, projects etc. Please contact with any queries.
My approach is hands-on, example driven where concepts are elucidated by way of rogorous examples. Also, I prefer a flipped classroom method where participants have an opportunity to look at content before meetings.
A typical session would run as follows: - Recapping on previous sessions and go through any homework set in the previous session. - Capture the intuition behind main concepts (i.e. differentiation is simply finding a slope) and, in particular, will strive for students to explore concepts and themes further from their curiosity and aim to apply these to interests / hobbies.
I’ve just finished my A-Level exams so I have very recent experience of the specifications for A-Level (and GCSE) Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science. I achieved outstanding grades at GCSE and AS level and have plenty of experience with giving alternative explanations of difficult concepts to my friends and peers.
My lessons are created using lesson plans based on the individual's learning ability and tasks are set in small quantities with a hands on approach to reinforce learning. I also utilise question and answer sessions as a means to monitor learning. Small projects are also used as and when required.
I have an adaptive teaching methodology depending on the topic and the pupil(s), but mostly prefer practical hands-on work compared to theoretical teaching. I like setting problems that encourage creativity, since there is never one way of coding a solution to something, and that also challenge a learner's core understanding which I find most important.
I believe that students best pick-up coding skills and theory through practical application, all of my sessions are hands-on, programming in your choice of language from the get-go. I've previously tutored to both groups and individuals, and based on my experience believe that programming is best taught on a one-to-one basis to allow progression at the learner's own rate.
I approach learning as a process of understanding, not simply retaining knowledge. My sessions revolve around achieving full understanding of a topic so that in an exam or practical situation you will know the theory behind what you are doing, and hence will be able to achieve better results in everything you do.
I am a Computer Science student that has studied the subject at both GCSE and A-Level, using Python for my GCSE coursework. Lessons will be aimed around these two levels, but not following any specific exam board's requirements. They will concentrate on one or two key elements and will encourage playing around with them to further develop understanding.
I am a Software Engineers interested in sharing knowledge and experience, working with other interesting people, coaching, teaching, and making new friends in the tech community.
I teach via experiments, role play, lectures. I can handle all kinds of learners, for instance I structure course content to suit both audible and visual learners. I assess students to ensure that course objectives are met. I can teach people to build autonomous learning skills .
My teaching method is simple to understand. I love using analogies that appeal to my students' own interests - it often is the best way to help them understand. We'll work through a problem set until it is understood, its as simple as that. I'm happy to teach anybody HTML,CSS,Python or general web development across the stack.
I am friendly and enthusiastic with a lot of energy, and I think this comes out a lot during my classes. I understand how difficult it can be when first starting out to code. I can help you get to grips with some of the fundamental and the more difficult concepts of programming until you have the confidence to go it alone.
PhD Research in big data analytics and visualisation and I give lessons to degree students and higher. My techniques are to make the process as practical as possible by going through step by step every instruction and ensuring you can actually do it yourself.
I use the practical approach of teaching with real time examples and scenarios and provide live project working exposure too. I teach candidate of any level and am very strong in database lessons.
All of my experience has been gained in state schools, teaching both high flyers and lower ability, I often taught children who found engaging with normal school difficult and took great pleasure from seeing them achieve their full potential. In the classroom, I encourage an ethos of respect, hard work and a can do approach.
I present my students with the knowledge and understanding necessary to apply a topic to any scenario they wish.
I have the experience to teach Degree level and diploma students. Usually, I like to use a marker board, paper pen (by using a multicolour pen), PPT and practical programs with an output. I like to relate each topic to real life example and company standard problem-solution technique.
My teaching method is to first figure out what you want to learn, or what are your weaknesses. Then I will structure perfect lessons to ensure you get your worthwhile. Additionally, I will help with any school work the student needs help with.
I know that some topics of your CS curriculum are not super fun, sometimes vague and quite complicated (binary, networks, computer architecture, etc.). I will show you that they are actually important and very interesting when applied to concrete situations. When it comes to programming (the fun part!), whatever your level is, you will do most of the work as our sessions will be project based.
I base my teaching on using hands on practical lessons, learning by doing, but all underpinned with sound theory and first principles. The key to learning computer skills is to not be afraid to experient and break things occasionally.
I have an honours degree in Psychology, and use this to help me understand your learning style - even if you're not sure yourself. My approach is student led and my goal is for you not to need me. I model self learning techniques in order to give you the tools to teach yourself.
I adapt my methods to suit the student, I both give and show examples so productive practice can take place with confidence outside the 'classroom' environment. I am a strong believer in practice and mastering your craft over time.

Perfect! He is really good teacher and helpful, he helped me with assignment
Perfect! Chris is a super friendly and caring tutor. I have almost zero background in computer science, so he made a personalised teaching plan for me to ease me into this new subject. While our main focus is python, he makes sure that I have some basic...
