About Joyce
My name's Joyce and I’m currently a student at the Royal College of Music studying the flute and have played piano for most of my life. I am originally from Australia and moved to London to further my studies in music.
I received a high distinction in my licentiate examination (highest level of diploma in Aus) in flute and completed my diploma in piano (2nd highest level of diploma).
I also competed in national competitions winning prizes in both solo and chamber categories.
I have performed in various venues such as the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Town Hall and Cadogan Hall.
Alongside this, I have taught many students in different capacities and have always enjoyed the experience of being part of someone else’s musical journey. I hope to continue and try help people to the best of my abilities!

I’m comfortable teaching a range of students in different ages and abilities. I enjoy being both a main teacher and also an assistant to whatever a student may be struggling with whether it be practice or technique.
I prioritise good foundational skills and theory in my teaching and aim to centre my approach around each student’s individual goals.
I am able to teach for any length of time depending on what suits you and am also happy to temporarily work with students towards specific exams or performances.
