About Cyrus
Hi, I’m a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre Voice. I love working with students of all levels—from school and college learners to adults and professionals. My lessons are personalised to fit your unique voice and goals, whether you’re interested in classical, pop, movie songs, or folk music. I focus on building strong skills like ear training, harmony, and improvisation, along with solid music theory. Helping students gain vocal confidence is very important to me. I teach safe vocal techniques that protect your voice while encouraging growth and creativity. Each lesson is interactive and supportive, designed to make learning fun and inspiring. I believe every voice has its own story and deserves to be nurtured with care. Together, we’ll explore your strengths and overcome challenges with patience and encouragement. If you’re ready to begin or continue your musical journey, I’d love to help you find joy and success in singing. Let’s make your voice shine in a positive and motivating environment.

For *The Soloist in Training* and *The Church Ensemble Player*, vocal wellness is the foundation of lasting success. Begin each session with gentle warm-ups like humming, lip trills, and gentle scales to ease your voice into action. Hydration is key—drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep your vocal cords healthy and flexible. Focus on healthy vocal placement, using breath support from the diaphragm to avoid strain and promote ease. Both personas benefit from balancing their vocal goals with mindfulness. Soloists can use breathwork tools and mindfulness timers to calm nerves before performances, while ensemble players can find joy in blending voices with awareness and presence. Tracking progress with vocal apps helps monitor pitch and tone without pressure, encouraging steady growth. Practise mindfulness by including brief guided meditation or breathing exercises to reduce tension. Remember, singing is not only about technique but also about expressing joy and connection. Keeping a positive, gentle approach helps protect your voice and your spirit. Celebrate small improvements, stay patient, and enjoy every moment of your musical journey.
