About Everett
I am an experienced violin tutor with 11 years of teaching experience, helping students from school level to working professionals achieve their musical goals. I am passionate about teaching and enjoy guiding students through their learning journey.
My teaching philosophy is based on understanding, consistency, and step-by-step progress. I believe that anyone can learn violin with the right guidance and regular practice. I focus on building a strong foundation by teaching essential basics such as posture, bow control, rhythm, and note reading. I then guide students towards advanced techniques and musical expression.
I have successfully taught over 150 students, many of whom have improved their skills and confidence. I create a friendly and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable and motivated. My goal is to make violin learning a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.

My teaching methodology focuses on clarity, consistency, and practical learning. I emphasise strong basics such as posture, bow control, finger placement, and scales, ensuring students gain proper understanding before progressing.
I follow a structured teaching plan and guide students step by step. I also personalise my teaching based on each student’s goals and level. Communication plays a key role in my approach, and I encourage open interaction in every class. I provide regular feedback and support continuous improvement. I follow integrity by being honest, responsible, and dedicated. Apart from violin, I also teach music theory, ear training, rhythm exercises, and performance techniques.
