I believe that music is best taught as a whole and strive to find a balance between encouraging initiative and forging discipline. Practical teaching is nourished by theoretical insight, and vice versa. At the heart of it all - to share the pleasure and fun of making music.
I am happy to teach students who wish to work towards ABRSM or Trinity graded exams, in Piano, Practical Musicianship and Music Theory.
Since 2012, I have taught piano, music theory, composition and orchestration privately to over forty students in Paris, London, Manchester, Bristol.
I am familiar with various schools of teaching, as I have been trained through the ABRSM system, a British specialist music school, British and continental conservatoires, three UK universities and several leading composers and pianists.
My teaching is further supported by an extensive body of artistic activity including over 200 concert performances (solo, ensemble, concerto) and several composition commissions, performances and recordings.
