About Harold
Hello! I’m Dr. Harold, a lifelong guitarist and music educator with more than 35 years of teaching experience. I hold a Doctorate in Music Education and have taught elementary students, high school guitar classes, university courses, and private lessons for children, teens, and adults.
Throughout my career, I’ve discovered that every student learns differently. My greatest joy is helping people realize they are capable of making music, regardless of their age or previous experience. I strive to create lessons that are encouraging, challenging, and enjoyable, where students gain not only musical skills but also the confidence to continue learning on their own.
Whether your goal is to play your favorite songs, perform, improvise, or simply enjoy music as a lifelong hobby, I’d be honored to help you on your musical journey.

Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time, returning after years away, or looking to grow as a musician, my lessons are designed around your goals. I hold a Doctorate in Music Education and have over 35 years of teaching experience in public schools, universities, and private studios.
I teach children, teens, and adults in a supportive, encouraging environment where questions are always welcome. Rather than simply showing you what to play, I’ll help you understand how to practice effectively, build confidence, and enjoy making music. Lessons can include acoustic or electric guitar, reading music, chords, rhythm, improvisation, jazz, classical, rock, worship music, songwriting, or preparing for auditions and performances.
My goal is simple: to help you become an independent musician who enjoys playing long after the lesson is over.
