About Jessica

- What kind of experience do you have?

I started my tutoring career teaching the sixth form weekend school at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. I loved running the drama club alongside my training, and since moving to London in 2010 I have been tutoring regularly, with students aged between 11 and 50. In that time I have had many successful Drama School applicants and LAMDA exam candidates. I have also taught English, History and academic drama before specialising in performance coaching.

- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?

Yes.

- Where and with whom did you train?

I took my undergraduate degree at Oxford University, gaining a First Class B.A. Hons in Ancient History and Classical Archaeology. I then trained as an actor at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, one of the most prestigious drama schools in the world, and also attended some additional training at the RSC. Many of my skills, however, have been learnt from 8 years as a working actress.

- Do you belong to any professional organisations?

Equity

- Tell me about some of your current students.

I have several regular students alongside my show commitments, including several I have been teaching for almost five years. I have students on their first LAMDA exams and also those applying to Drama schools. My record of getting students into drama school is impeccable - every student I have helped apply has been successful.

Jessica is an excellent tutor. She is always happy to help and makes the lessons something to look forward to. She has given me extra notes that she has made outside of the lesson times, and has improved me in every area that I could possibly have wanted to improve in. Her interest in your personal progress and teaching always shines through in the lessons and I could not praise her more highly.
