About Risa

The neoclassicist and orientalist, Ingres, is known to have valued the line. He greatly influenced modern painters as well as myself. The technique of one line drawing was taught to me by my high school art teacher. Concentration is key.

About the lesson

Distractions are the norm. Learning how to concentrate is a skill that requires an effort. One line drawing is a technique well worth the effort. Some of the most inspiring masters of this method are Diego Rivera and John Lennon.

Risa is an amazing teacher! She brings out the best in her students and is highly respected. She is extremely intelligent and has a stellar education. She is imaginative, creative, well informed and a very serious no nonsense teacher with decades of experience. She has been my colleague for many years. I have visited her classes and seen her in action. She has a natural gift for teaching and has inspired me with many ideas. She always gets the best reviews from her students. She tends to get booked up and usually has a full schedule. Consider yourself very fortunate if you can nab a spot with her! I would not delay!
