About Francesco
Francesco, the Italian drummer, started playing the drums at the age of 14. He studied music in the direction of percussion with the teacher Alessandro Napolitano, previously at the Francisco Tàrrega Music Academy and then at the Accademia dei Due Mari of Tananto (Italy). He has participated in many workshops, seminars and drum clinics on technique, improvisation by many famous artists (eg Virgil Donati, Chris Coleman, Steve Smith, Vinnie Colaiuta, Mark Guiliana, Horacio Hernandez, Gavin Harrison, Marco Minnemann, Dennis Chambers, John Bernard Riley, Dom Famularo, etc.). During his studies, Francesco gave percussion lessons at the academy where he studied. His music academy also gave him the opportunity to play a lot in live, to gain experience in the recording studio and to record some CDs. He has worked with various bands from Taranto, Rome, Leipzig, Dresden, Chemnitz, Prague, Berlin, etc., including Dynamite, Toxic Priest, Scarnification, I Die Tomorrow, etc. After 8 years, he began to study at the London College of Music. Francesco's strengths on drums are double bass drumming, rudiments, poly rhythms and open-handed drumming. Stylistically Francesco moves in the areas of rock, punk, metal, pop, funk, blues and jazz.

I offer my students, from beginner to advanced, an effective way to learn to play the drums. I always try not to teach too boring, so I try to follow the wishes of my students so that the lesson can start well. I can talk and play at the same time, I do not have to interrupt my lessons. The first 15/20 minutes have to be done with relaxation, because you need to warm up first. Then we enter another phase, with which it is possible to assimilate the concepts well. The students arrive tense and go out very easy. Playing drums is actually a therapy, besides that one also learns an instrument. Based on how the student feels on that day, we can do the technique today and tomorrow we will do something different to achieve our goal. I personally ask my student how much time he has to practice each week and build a study program on that basis. Many of my students tell me: I have learned a lot today! It's fun to learn the drums! ... and that's like a thank you to me (man, we worked well together). I motivate my students, I want them to be good!
