About Tanya
My name is Tanya. I am from South Africa, Kwazulu Natal.
I grew up speaking Afrikaans but in high school English became my first language.
I have taught both languages including math to 'home school' students and it is extremely rewarding seeing my students succeed. Passion for teaching, dedication and praise o student, compassion to understand are what I believe in, no matter what.

Online learning can make students feel isolated or alone. Getting to know your students makes students to feel more confident inn asking questions and interacting resulting in better learning. education is vital but so is praise. Students should be told when they are doing great or feel like they are in a safe space and wont be judged, made to feel inadequate. My motto is "There is no such thing as a silly question".
I have taught 'home-school' students in English and Afrikaans. I am fully bilingual at a high-level in both languages.
I also teach mathematics from grade 1 to grade 7.
Together we learn, laugh and enjoy!
