About Selah
I was born in the Canary Islands and at age 4 I started to learn the piano. It was soon obvious that this would be no hobby be for me, for I made very fast progress and at 14 I achieved ABRSM grade 8 distinction. A year later I achieved the second highest worldwide marks for Trinity College performance Certificate.
When I moved to the UK at age 19 I was already very experienced on the concert platform. In England I completed a bachelor's with honours in performance studies, a postgraduate degree, and advanced postgraduate degree and master's degree, all of them in performance studies.
I have performed a major venues in the UK including the Southbank Centre, Saint Martins in the fields and st. James' Piccadilly amongst many others.
I have been teaching privately and as a peripatetic tutor in schools for over 12 years. My teaching style is friendly, gentle and thorough. I am approachable, I have a great amount of patience and I have an encouraging, positive style of teaching.
