About Jo
I’m a second-year student at Stellenbosch University, majoring in Psychology and Theatre Studies. Studying to achieve my long-time dream of becoming a teacher of the Dramatic Arts, I wholeheartedly believe in the transformative nature of the arts. Not only does art hold the power for individual change, but the ability to mend the collective heart of generations. Teaching is my vessel to connect and empower our nation’s youth, fostering growth and a thirst for knowledge.

I encourage students to fearlessly stumble, for within each mistake is a golden opportunity to learn and grow. My aim is to shatter the conventional learning paradigm and rewrite the rules; making education an exhilarating adventure for any student. Beyond academics, I believe that by fostering trust and comfort, one can nurture the whole student. With a holistic approach, I prioritise mental state and capacity to empower students to unlock their full potential.
