About Jennifer
I have been teaching for 24 years in Texas and I am a Mom to 4 boys who are dyslexic. I love words and reading. I enjoy fishing and being outdoors. I have a passion for helping young children become confident readers and spellers. I am kind and patient.

I am trained in MTA (Multisensory Teaching Approach). It is an Ortan-Gillingham based program for dyslexic learners. It is research based and proven effective.
In a typical session we would do alphabet practice activities,re-learn all letters in a multisensory way, learn concepts of reading and spelling, practice reading, spelling and cursive handwriting. Practice sentence dictation and verbal expression.
I prefer to work with elementary age students.
