About Laura
I am a mum of three children who range in age from 3 years old to 12 years old! I have a passion for teaching children and love tutoring in a one-to-one environment because it is through this that you really see children's confidence grow.

My aim is to provide a safe, secure and welcoming environment in which children feel comfortable and confident to reach their true potential. I provide tailored, multi-sensory lessons to meet the individual needs of each child. I offer 1 hour or 45-minute sessions depending on the age of the child. I work with children aged 5 to 12 years old. I have over 15 years' experience as a primary school teacher. I have taught all years at primary school from Early Years all the way through to Year 6 both in mainstream and specialist settings. I taught in a Specialist school for children with Specific Learning Difficulties where I was the Year 5 form tutor and a reading and spelling teacher. I then went on to become Head of English, tailoring and delivering the English curriculum to Year 3 through to 6. It was here that I gained my extra qualification for teaching children with SpLD, the Level 5 OCR diploma. I have worked as a specialist tutor for a number of years delivering one-to-one sessions in maths and English. I now work in a state primary school teaching Year 1.
