About Marie
Who am I ? :
My name is Marie and I am from New Caledonia (a French overseas territory). I made the decision more than a year ago to leave my native land to settle in France to continue my studies.
My level :
I graduated from a BAC S (passed face-to-face) with honors. Currently I am studying earth sciences in first year.
My profile:
Self-taught by nature, I have always managed alone to understand my lessons. This ability allowed me to emancipate myself while helping my comrades in difficulty.
I also worked for a long time in an equestrian center where I took care of 12-14 year olds (hence the choice to take charge of college students for tutoring).
Some defects and qualities to know me better:
- Perfectionist, academic and slightly too cautious at times.
- Patient, creative, available and attentive.

My working method adapts to the profile of each person, according to your needs, your strengths and/or your shortcomings!
All based on a golden rule: "it is only by practicing, trying and making mistakes that we learn"
During the first meeting:
We will try to define your difficulties, gaps and strengths. Don't hesitate to trust me and let me know about your weak points and/or your anxieties.
Thereafter we will define a strategy and a rhythm of work according to your needs (reinforcement of knowledge, revisions of the not-acquired notions..)
Finally, we will set the regularity of our meetings 1/2 times a week, 2/3 times a week etc.
After that, we will be ready to work properly and with confidence!
What is a typical session? :
We start with a ten-minute review of the concept discussed.
If the concept is sufficiently acquired, we move on to a series of exercises in order to consolidate knowledge.
If the notion is not acquired, we come back to it until it is.
To end the session, we will do a short quiz to check that the concept is well understood.
If necessary, depending on need and demand, we will set small homework to do for next time
If necessary, I can offer you one or more work methodology sessions (adapted to the level of study).
Indeed, having a working and learning method is an essential quality for success, and it requires time (sometimes several years of attempts before finding the one that suits you) and investment.
Once you have acquired the basics of the methodology, it will be up to you to try, innovate and find your own!
