About Atikah
I'm a current sixth form student, studying maths, further maths, and biology, with aspirations to study mathematics at university.
I initially started tutoring 2 years ago, at computer and games coding classes for children aged 5 to 12, and now have 1 years experience tutoring maths, English, and triple sciences, from Year 1 to GCSE level at a tuition centre.
My formal experience, love for teaching, and dedication to my subjects leaves me wanting nothing more than to pass on my knowledge in a way which is accesible and engaging for a pupil of any age or ability.

• GCSE Maths -- To focus on problem solving by tackling interesting exam style questions, and breaking down complex scenarios into their simpler components, all whilst developing key skills in algebra, numeracy, and reasoning. Preparation for A Level mathematics is also an option for students starting college or sixth form.
• GCSE Biology -- To improve the students' understanding of exam style questions, and how to best tailor an answer to maximise the marks awarded. Using the mark schemes to help consolidate and narrow down revision to key pieces of information. And finally, providing a whollistic understanding of how different aspects of biology are interlinked- this is key to retaining information and nurturing a love for the subject!
• Maths for Year 1 to 9 -- Filling in gaps in the student's knowledge by assessing their understanding of a range of topics, and then focussing on building a deeper understanding of these areas. Oftentimes, school alone does not provide the time and attention to allow students to master fundamental skills at their own pace. My aim will be to develop a solid foundation in their maths skills before moving onto more challenging problems.
