About Ferne
Sound often remains my primary focus after years spent working both on stage and inside the studio. I teach piano to help pupils prepare for ABRSM or Trinity grade exams through ear training and classical repertoire mastery. I emphasize proper posture and hand position while refining memorization techniques and sight playing.
Sight transposition and hand independence are essential skills to develop. Music theory is essential.

Many students struggle because they cannot recall the finer details of complex instruction once they reach home. Watching a recorded playback of your specific session remains the best way to verify your progress between meetings.
I offer this 8.0 standard of service to ensure clarity. My 4 years of performance experience help me model difficult passages clearly.
We focus on developing precise technique during the first half of the session. The second half involves structured review. Practicing becomes much easier when you can actually hear what you played yesterday.
