About Nathan
I am a recent economics graduate from the University of Bristol with a strong skillset in mathematics and economics. My course at university was one of the most challenging in the country, with a particular focus on econometric analysis. I achieved a 2.1 grade and have A*AA in my A Levels in Economics, Maths and History respectively.
I have had experience teaching classes of 5-15 during my time working at The Hurlingham Academy, Fulham (GCSE Maths) and had great success for the term I worked there, with great reviews from other staff and students.
I am currently on my gap year having completed my degree, and am soon to start the Barclays Private Banking Graduate Scheme at the end of July.

I truly believe in the importance of showing how maths, which appears to many students as a conceptual subject, is so relevant in our day to day lives. I think this is the best way to help inspire an interest in a subject with a keystone in academia. I truly find many aspects of maths fascinating - and when teaching I encourage students to get excited about things they previously would never find interesting. For example, when teaching statistics I love explaining to students the Monty Hall Problem and seeing how they react.
I also believe you will not get far with this subject unless you commit to it fully. Maths became enjoyable for me when I started getting things right and grasping topics, but this only game through serious graft. I would expect the same from my students both during and outside of lessons.
