About Govinder
I am passionate about helping students because I believe that every student has the potential to succeed and reach their goals with the right guidance and support. My experience working with students has taught me that every student is unique and has their own learning style and pace. I find great satisfaction in helping students discover their strengths and overcoming their challenges.
I have experience in tutoring multiple subjects both 1:1 and to small groups. Additionally, I have experience working in a classroom setting, as a teaching assistant, plus at times leading and covering lessons.
My teaching philosophy is centred around creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I believe that students learn best through active participation and hands-on experience, so I strive to make my lessons interactive and relevant to their interests.

I graduated from the University of York with a degree in Economics, Politics and Philosophy. Subjects I tutor are Maths, Economics, Politics (Citizenship), Geography, Sociology and Business Studies. My favourite subjects to tutor are economics and politics as in my spare time I like to read and develop more knowledge based around these disciplines. I see these subjects as more of a passion and as part of my interests.
As a tutor, I adopt a flexible and patient approach. I start by assessing the student's needs and understanding their learning style and goals, and then I create a personalised learning plan that meets their needs. I also encourage students to take an active role in their own learning, so they can build confidence and develop critical thinking skills.
