About Xingzi

Hello ! My name is Lucia, and I am thrilled to introduce myself to you. I am a passionate and dedicated Chinese language tutor with a strong background in education.

Currently, I am pursuing my degree in Bilingual/Bicultural education at Teachers College, Columbia University. As a native speaker of Chinese (Mandarin), I have an inherent understanding and appreciation for the language and its nuances. Growing up in a bilingual environment, I am fluent in both English and Chinese, allowing me to effectively communicate and bridge the gap between languages for my students.

My journey as a tutor began during my high school years, where I discovered my love for teaching Chinese. Since then, I have accumulated valuable tutoring experiences, helping students of various ages and proficiency levels to grasp the intricacies of the language. Through these experiences, I have developed effective teaching methods and techniques to cater to the unique needs of each student.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed for students at various levels, from beginners to advanced learners. Whether you are a high school student, a college student studying Chinese as a major or minor, or an adult learner interested in the Chinese language and culture, I can customize the lessons to meet your specific needs and goals.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my passion for teaching, my experience in tutoring the Chinese language over the years, and my dedication to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. I strive to create a positive and enjoyable atmosphere where students feel motivated, confident, and inspired to learn and improve their Chinese language skills.

I am committed to helping my students succeed and achieve their language learning goals. Whether you are aiming to pass a language proficiency exam, improve your conversational skills, or gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture, I am here to guide you on your language journey and provide you with the necessary tools and support.

Together, we can embark on an exciting adventure of learning Chinese and exploring the beauty of this rich language and its cultural heritage.
