About Yash
Hi! I'm a sophomore in high school with a strong passion for math and helping students succeed. I enjoy making challenging concepts simple, engaging, and easy to understand for elementary and middle school students following the California curriculum.
Beyond academics, I'm a huge sports fan and enjoy watching basketball, soccer, and cricket. I previously played competitive soccer in a league, which helped me develop strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills—qualities I bring to every tutoring session.
My goal is to help students build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and develop a positive attitude toward learning math. Whether your child needs homework help, test preparation, or extra support with difficult topics, I'm committed to helping them reach their full potential.

My lessons are designed to make math clear, engaging, and stress-free. I work with elementary and middle school students following the California curriculum and adapt each lesson to the student's learning style and goals.
A typical lesson includes:
Review of previous concepts
Step-by-step explanation of new topics

Independent problem-solving with support
Homework help and test preparation when needed
I focus on building strong foundations in arithmetic, fractions, decimals, percentages, pre-algebra, algebra readiness, geometry, and problem-solving skills. Rather than memorizing formulas, students learn why concepts work and how to apply them confidently.
My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, and interactive.
