About Alex
I have worked with young children for over a decade in academic and volunteer settings. Specifically, I have worked with several different elementary schools over the past four years. I have instructed students in reading, math, and technology with Boys and Girls Clubs, Knox County Schools, and Johnson City Schools. I love working with students, helping them achieve their goals, and overcoming academic obstacles that get in their way.

I prefer to give students the confidence to do the work themselves. I might guide them with step by step instructions, but I do not simply give the answers. I work with the student until they come to the answer on their own. I find that this reinforces the mindset that they 'can' do it on their own if they take their time and think about the steps.
