About Molly
As a working elementary school teacher and 2023 graduate on the Dean's list of Lakehead University's Education program, I am up to date on the current research regarding literacy and the challenges many students face when it comes to reading and writing. I use evidence-based strategies for all my lessons and practice progress monitoring to track students' growth and identify areas of need.
Simultaneously, I believe that learning should be fun! Students look forward to spending one-on-one time with me, playing literacy games, sharing stories, and celebrating their accomplishments.

I have helped many students, in the classroom and one on one, to grow their literacy skills, from kindergarten to grade 6.
Emergent and early readers can expect lessons using a combination of explicit phonics instruction, games, and reading and writing practice tailored to their specific needs and interests.
Growing/transitional readers can expect games and exercises to improve their reading fluency and comprehension, as well as instruction on grammar and engaging writing exercises.
I am always happy to provide homework support in addition to tailoring lessons to learners needs and what they are focusing on in the classroom. My goal is to promote a love of reading in children and make literacy fun, creating enthusiastic, confident readers and writers!
