I am fun and bubbly. I like my students to feel comfortable with me, but also know we are meeting to learn.
I like to teach reading by doing. It’s important to teach the basic skills of reading and writing so a typical lesson will start with a direct teach. Then I like to follow that with a hands on activity going deeper in to the skill and applying that skill to texts that we read. I usually end the skill or topic with a quick check for understanding. If the student is still struggling I go back to the skill.
