About Danai
I am a dedicated elementary educator with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education and graduate-level education in Curriculum and Instruction. I have several years of experience working with elementary-aged students and have taught both second and fourth grade in a classroom setting.
My experience has given me a strong foundation in teaching reading, writing, mathematics, and other core elementary skills. I am also experienced in differentiating instruction to meet the needs of students with varying learning styles and academic abilities.
I strive to create a patient, positive, and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenging concepts. I take my responsibility as an educator seriously and communicate professionally with families while keeping each student’s individual goals at the center of our tutoring sessions.
My goal is not simply to help students complete an assignment, but to help them understand what they are learning, strengthen foundational skills, and become more confident and independent learners.

I am an experienced elementary teacher who believes students learn best when instruction is clear, engaging, encouraging, and tailored to their individual needs. I use modeling, guided practice, visuals, questioning, and interactive activities to help students understand concepts while building confidence and independence.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review or assessment of the student’s current understanding. I then model the skill step-by-step, practice it together with the student, and gradually transition to independent practice. I provide immediate feedback and adjust my instruction whenever a student needs additional explanation or a different approach.
What sets me apart is my background in both Elementary and Special Education, along with graduate-level education in Curriculum and Instruction. My classroom experience has taught me how to differentiate instruction for students with a variety of learning styles, strengths, and academic needs.
My tutoring is designed primarily for elementary students in grades K–6, with a focus on reading comprehension, writing, elementary math, homework support, and overall academic skill development. My goal is for every student to leave our sessions understanding the material better and feeling more confident in their ability to succeed.
