About Ottis
With 13 years of piano teaching experience, I have guided students from beginner to advanced levels with dedication and care. I teach school students, college students, and working professionals, offering lessons that are engaging, structured, and adapted to individual needs.
My teaching philosophy focuses on encouragement, adaptability, and lifelong learning. I believe music education should inspire confidence, creativity, and personal growth.
My lessons include piano techniques, scales, chords, rhythm training, sight reading, ear training, music theory, improvisation, performance preparation, and proper finger techniques. I also help students improve musical expression and stage confidence.
Apart from piano instruction, I teach keyboard skills, music reading, and basic music theory. These skills help students become independent musicians and understand music more deeply.
My mission is to make learning piano enjoyable and rewarding. Through personalized guidance, patience, and consistent support, I help students achieve their musical goals while developing a lifelong love for music.

My teaching style combines communication, creativity, flexibility, patience, and continuous support. I believe every student can succeed when lessons are planned according to their abilities and presented in an encouraging environment. My classes focus on both musical excellence and personal confidence.
Students begin by learning correct posture, hand position, rhythm, finger exercises, note reading, and music theory. As they improve, they continue with scales, chords, dynamics, articulation, pedal techniques, expressive performance, sight reading, and stage confidence.
I use simple explanations, demonstrations, guided practice, and personalized assignments to make learning effective. Students are encouraged to ask questions, participate actively, and practice consistently between lessons.
Students enjoy learning music from various genres while developing creativity through improvisation, accompaniment, and musical interpretation. These experiences improve listening skills and confidence.
Besides piano, I teach keyboard techniques, rhythm training, ear training, music theory, sight reading, music appreciation, beginner composition, and performance preparation. These related subjects help students become versatile musicians.
My mission is to help students enjoy every lesson while developing confidence, creativity, and lifelong musical skills.
