About Merrin
I am a Piano tutor with more than 8 years of teaching experience, dedicated to helping students reach their musical potential. I teach school students, college students, and working professionals who want to learn Piano in a supportive and motivating environment.
My teaching philosophy emphasizes patience, consistency, and student-centered learning. I work closely with each student to understand their goals and create lessons that are both effective and enjoyable.
My classes include piano techniques, scales, chords, rhythm exercises, music theory, sight reading, ear training, improvisation, and performance preparation. I focus on helping students build strong technical foundations while encouraging creativity and expression.
In addition to Piano, I teach keyboard skills and music theory. I believe these subjects are essential for developing a complete understanding of music and becoming a well-rounded musician.
My greatest satisfaction comes from seeing students grow in confidence and ability. Through personalized guidance, positive encouragement, and structured learning, I help students achieve meaningful results and develop a lasting appreciation for music.

My teaching philosophy is based on communication, creativity, flexibility, patience, and student-focused learning. I believe every student deserves personalized lessons that help them reach their musical goals while enjoying the learning process.
Lessons begin with posture, finger exercises, rhythm training, note reading, and music theory. Once students become comfortable with these skills, I gradually introduce scales, chords, arpeggios, dynamics, pedal techniques, sight reading, and expressive performance.
I explain every concept clearly using simple English and practical demonstrations. Students are encouraged to understand the purpose behind each exercise rather than simply memorizing songs. This approach builds confidence and long-term musical understanding.
Students learn music from a variety of genres according to their interests. I also encourage creativity through improvisation, accompaniment, and expressive performance, allowing students to develop their own musical style.
Besides piano, I teach keyboard techniques, ear training, rhythm exercises, music theory, sight reading, music appreciation, and performance preparation. These subjects help students become confident and complete musicians.
My goal is to provide motivating lessons that inspire students to enjoy learning, improve steadily, and develop a lifelong passion for music.
