About Elizabeth
I am enthusiastic and motivated to teach and help others realise their full potential. I am a team player and an excellent communicator who leads by example. I excel when given responsibility and have demonstrated my capabilities throughout all levels in my current position.
I have recently returned from China, after two years of learning a different culture and exploring a wealth of native talent and inspirational scenery. I taught Art and Sewing Skills privately during this time and found this to be extremely rewarding being able to coach and mentor on a one to one basis. I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge and experience with learners in the future.
I have sold my paintings internationally and within the uk, specialising in mixed media, often completing finished work with oil. My painting skills have been studied over a thirty year duration, resulting in regular commissions.
I have vast experience in sewing and Design, having started my career in the fashion industry in 1987, designing men’s and children’s wear for high street stores. My fashion experience allowed me to work as a teacher of illustration, working at HND level for Bromsgrove College of further Education for five years.
I have achieved high standards in my subject disciplines and have successfully coached pupils from local grammar and secondary schools through A level design and technology qualifications relative to my skill set.
