About Lisa

Hello, my name is Lisa, I come from a small town in the Free State called Welkom. Since I can remember I wanted to be a teacher, so obtaining my degree and having to teach is a dream come true for me. Outside of work, I am an enthusiastic and positive person. I enjoy and appreciate the smaller things in life such as taking long walks or having good conversations with those I love. Some of my hobbies include reading and pilates as I enjoy keeping my mind and body strong. With 2 years of teaching experience under my belt, I've had the pleasure of helping students navigate the intricacies of both English and Afrikaans. Armed with TEFL and TEYL certifications, I'm dedicated to making the learning process engaging and effective. My teaching style blends various methodologies to ensure each one of you feels valued and included. I'm excited to embark on this learning journey with you!

About the lesson

As a private tutor, my approach is deeply rooted in tailoring lessons to suit each student's individual needs and learning style. With a strong foundation in teaching methodologies, I incorporate a diverse range of techniques to ensure optimal comprehension and engagement. My goal is to make learning both effective and enjoyable, fostering a supportive environment where students feel empowered to thrive.

Proficient in English and Afrikaans, I offer comprehensive lessons in both languages. Whether it's language acquisition, grammar mastery, or exam preparation, I cater to students of all levels, from beginners to advanced learners.

In a typical lesson with me, students can expect a dynamic and interactive experience. I believe in fostering active participation and encourage open dialogue to address any questions or concerns. Each session is carefully structured to cover key concepts while allowing flexibility for personalized exploration and reinforcement.

My lessons are aimed at a diverse range of students, including those preparing for exams, seeking language proficiency, or simply looking to enhance their communication skills. Whatever your learning goals may be, I'm here to provide guidance, support, and inspiration every step of the way.
