About Gent
I'm Gent, an experienced math tutor committed to your success. My journey to getting to where I am now has included a lot, but I have selected 3 of the most impacting journeys that I have taken that has molded me into who I am.
Firstly, I completed a chemistry race at the University of Cambridge, which honed my logical thinking and problem-solving abilities. This experience taught me that with the right mindset, any challenge can be conquered.
Another rewarding experience has been transforming year six students from below the national average to excelling in their SATs. My dedication is not confined to academics; it's demonstrated through my work, reflecting my genuine commitment to helping you excel in math.
Finally, I have left the best for last. During my internship at Citibank, I thrived due to my strong communication skills and logical thinking. These abilities were crucial for success in a corporate environment. My practical experience equips me to help you grasp complex math concepts and tackle problems effectively.
If there is anything that I want you take away from this, it would be this: "Equalize the opportunity - capitalize your outcome." You all have your own pathways, and have the opportunity to pick what you want to do, however, the outcome you get is solely determined by you. I want the best out of you and nothing less. Each lesson typically lasts for 60 minutes. This duration allows us to cover topics comprehensively while maintaining focus and engagement.
I hold a grade 6 in GCSE Maths and am currently achieving top grades in A-level Maths. My experience as a tutor includes successfully mentoring year six students. They started below the national average but, with my guidance, went onto excel in their SATs, showcasing remarkable progress. I am well-suited for this role as I have a strong grasp of mathematical concepts, and my ability to connect with students.
