About Jeanne
Dedicated and passionate science tutor with a robust academic foundation, holding degrees from prestigious French institutions in both engineering and business. As a graduate of a leading French engineering school, I gained extensive practical knowledge in mathematics, physics, and chemistry, applying theoretical concepts to real-world engineering challenges. My experience as an environmental engineer in a startup environment allowed me to work on innovative projects focused on sustainable solutions, enhancing my ability to apply scientific principles in dynamic and fast-paced settings. In my private lessons, I strive to create a comfortable and engaging environment where students feel inspired to explore science. I love helping them connect the dots between math, physics, and chemistry, making learning enjoyable and relevant to their lives. Together, we can tackle concepts at their own pace and build confidence in their abilities!

In my tutoring sessions, I prioritize an interactive and student-centered approach. Each lesson begins with a brief review of previous concepts to reinforce understanding, followed by a discussion of new material and practical exercises. Introduction lesson: In the introductory lesson with a new student, I aim to create a comfortable atmosphere while discussing their academic goals and specific challenges in math and science. We explore their preferred learning style, identify any difficulties they've faced, and I explain my collaborative teaching approach. A quick assessment of their current level helps me understand their strengths and areas for improvement. By the end of the session, we set clear expectations for our future lessons, ensuring a tailored and effective learning experience. Typical lesson lasts between 1.5 hours and 2 hours during which: - Review of last lesson materials and takeaways - Iterate on difficult items by using other approaches if necessary - Discussion and review of new materials - Practical exercise on both previous and new concepts - Tackling of homework - Sum up of the lesson and key concept in oral and written form - Special dispositions and training in case of exams This methodology is a standard one that will be adapted depending on the student needs and preferred methods of learning, using tools such as visual aids, activities, real-world applications, ...

Jeanne has a very engaging personality and a great sense of humour. I am a friend rather than a previous student however I know she has the skills required to make a wonderful teacher. She is patient, friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and has excellent communication skills, both listening and speaking. I have no doubt that any students would enjoy being taught by Jeanne and that she would be able to teach them effectively in an easily understandable way.
We are incredibly pleased with Jeanne as our son's math tutor. Flexible with scheduling, she has shown great patience and a deep understanding of how to teach the subject. Math was a real challenge before, but now he’s not only understanding it better, he’s actually enjoying it. We’re impressed by Jeanne's ability to explain concepts in a way that makes them easier to grasp for him. We’re really grateful for the progress he’s made and highly recommend Jeanne to anyone looking for an effective and dedicated tutor.
I've met Jeanne through a family member and we were both looking to improve our French. Because her English is also impeccable, Jeanne knew how to set up a good mood, take time to explain each step and challenge us to be clearer. Her humor and patience made it all so smooth! I'd recommend Jeanne because we truly felt improvement after a few courses
