My teaching methodology is very task and subject oriented, I make sure my students understand the subjects very well! Tutoring for me was a way of understanding my subject and making it easier for my students, i try to make my classes easy, relative, visual and engaging.. Teaching is just not about imparting knowledge, its about building a connection and learning how to teach a specific learner.
The lesson revolves around student needs: • Exam preparation – we focus on understanding the content, then selected seminar topics and finally exam past papers. • Selected topic work – firm focus on one topic includes highlighting the essential workings and the applications of the course. • Project support – often students don’t know where to start.
I am currently studying towards a Master's degree in Physics. I have a passion for teaching and truly enjoy being able to help the next generation develop a love and knowledge of Science and Mathematics. I will assess each student as an individual, as we work together to find a way of teaching which best suits their learning style and ability.
My teaching method is to focus on true understanding of concepts rather than rote memorisation, so will introduce new topics and guide students through a few examples, getting them to talk through each step and eventually to explain the concept to me themselves.
Having taught some of the keenest minds in the world at the Universities of Oxford and London and also struggling school students, (as well as struggling University students and bright-as-buttons schoolchildren!), I believe it is absolutely essential to tailor the teaching style to the requirements of the individual. Pupils have hugely varying aptitudes for different parts of a syllabus.
I base my tutoring around the homework supplied by the student. I am a highly experienced tutor, tutoring pupils up to the age of 16, including preparation for the 11+ and GCSE. I tutor Maths, Verbal Reasoning, Non-verbal Reasoning, English and Science.
As a tutor in Chemistry, I will strive to achieve my mission by tailoring my teaching methods and the study materials for students specifically to meet the high international standard for each of their respective courses and level of study as recommended by their university or school board.
I always found it easier to learn things when I had the bigger picture of things. I try to explain why we are doing things and motivate my students to learn for themselves. I am very question-based and try to lead the student to the answer instead of just stating the answer. My session usually run in three parts.
I like to create a relaxed learning environment where the students and I can discuss openly what they think. I much prefer setting problem solving tasks rather than lecturing or recalling facts, that is how pupils learn best by maximising the use of their neural pathways.
My teaching method is based on practise and supporting, i like to teach to work the student doesn't understand, add questions to the end so student can put the learnt knowledge to the test and then help them construct a summary for them to revise from.
I base my classes on the school syllabus and the student's weaknesses in attempt to make his weakness a strength. I go through textbooks and extra material that I will provide based on my research and personal analysis of the student. Once the student is familiar with the general information I make him do practice questions on practice books and then past exam papers.
I agree a broad programme with parents then adjust as specific tests come up at school in Biology, Chemistry or Physics. I adjust my content to match which of the four GCSE options are taken namely Triple or Double Science, Higher or Foundation. to and I set very targeted homework, followed by an email feedback after every lesson.
My teaching method is to be visual, to make sure that students can see other ways to learn. I like to work with students to see where and what they struggle with, I also like to make sure that students can show me what they know and I can help them progress. I really enjoy helping.
I know that each individual is different and needs a different structure to learning. I base my teaching methods on the individual. We would initially start with where you are with the subject and what you need to learn. Together we would devise a structured plan that will suit you. I am very patient and understanding. We will base each lesson on your ability and I am very friendly and patient.
I base my lessons on the needs of each learner. I believe that a good tutor should adjust their teaching style and methods to suit the individual and inspire that person to achieve their best. I have a great deal of patience and my lessons are paced to the needs of the individual thereby ensuring that they fully understand the topic before moving on.
I am flexible and versatile in my teaching approach and the methods I use depend on the individual needs of my pupils. I plan all my lessons before hand, and make quick assessments throughout lessons to gauge whether more input is required.
I hold a BSc degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry. I am qualified to teach Chemistry up to and including A Level and IB Diploma. I always carry out an initial assessment of students during the first lesson to inform me of their areas of need. I then produce a course outline which we will follow until the ends of the lessons. I make use of technology to enhance my lessons.
I will be using a combination of my own experience, AQA (or whichever exam board you’re registered with) official material and a structured tutoring plan that lines up with the curriculum. I can explain tricky concepts in different ways using the virtual whiteboard and work with you until you’re comfortable.
I provide lessons in a number of different STEM subjects at GCSE, A-Level and first year degree level. I aim to cover in detail a topic chosen by my students, either in a more structured tutorial or as a question and answer session. My teaching methods are fully flexible, allowing me to tailor each lessons to the needs and wishes of my students.
Hi, My name is Mariem. I am a current MSc Physics student at Imperial College London. I have 2 years experience in teaching students at college level. I am very passionate about Physics. I am very passionate about Physics and this wasn't something that was inspired by my science/ physics teachers at school.
I offer the full spectrum of high school level chemistry and related sciences (if required), up to and including advanced higher studies. My tutoring is predominantly based around the content that students receive from their teachers, on a topic by topic basis.
I am happy to teach all physics in Key Stage 4 through to A-level as well as students who are transitioning to university level and may be in their first couple years of university. I enjoy teaching in a way that allows the student to actively participate and engage to make the lesson both interesting for them and thought-provoking.
I loved studying Maths and Science at school (in particular Chemistry) and I went on to obtain a degree in Natural Sciences. I have previously worked as a Cover Teacher and enjoy interacting with young people, particularly in a learning environment. This is the first time I will be tutoring, so I am open to providing support in whatever way my students feel they need it.
I like to begin by having a preliminary chat to discuss what areas you are having issues with. This helps me to plan tutoring sessions based on your needs. I will prepare problems based upon the preliminary chat and go through them with you and provide you with similar problems to try on your own. These can be sent to me at anytime and I will provide you with feedback at our next session.
My method is learning fast and exercise enough. Every student is different so if you want to improve your level you have to practice as well. My lessons are based on a previous review about the theme that you need to study. In this case I usually asked some exercise to check also the method that you have already studied at school with your ordinary teacher.
I would have an approach to teaching by activities for revision and videos to help people learn. I would give help on calculations and how to break them down and give them words to remember so that they have the knowledge of them. I would try to inspire the people that I teach and also make sure they have fun learning them.
I believe everyone learns things differently so one specific approach isn't really something I focus on. My degree was also biomedical sciences. I love studying and I make my own lectures and assignment fun to study, I want to share that with everyone out there struggling.
Available to teach all sciences up to GCSE and chemistry / biochemistry to A-level. I use folklore and intriguiging contexts to engage students to master the fundamentals. I will help you to exceed your target grade by writing what examiners expect.
I will be able to help with 11+, GCSE, A-Level. My methods would be to explain/teach the topic, go through an example of a question, then set previous exam questions to see if they understand the topic and help if needed.
