About Amin
I have a strong background in mathematics and enjoy helping students develop genuine mathematical understanding. I have a masters degree in economics and bachelors in electrical engineering, and I'm currently working as a data scientist too.
I like mathematics problem solving as a hobby too, and I once was competing at AMC and AIME level although in a different country.

I take a problem-solving approach to tutoring, focusing not only on getting the correct answer but on understanding why a solution works and how to recognize similar ideas in new problems. I encourage students to explain their thinking, ask questions, and develop their own strategies rather than simply following a set of steps.
A typical lesson begins by reviewing any difficulties from previous work, followed by introducing or reinforcing a concept and then working through progressively more challenging problems together. I gradually move from guided examples toward independent problem solving.
I tutor high-school and early college students in Precalculus, Calculus, Linear Algebra, and introductory competitive mathematics, including AMC-level problems and selected AIME-style problems. My approach is especially suited to students who want to develop deeper mathematical intuition and problem-solving ability rather than simply prepare for an exam.
